The main difference between the two types of power supplies is that constant-current power supplies regulate the voltage to maintain a fixed current, while constant-voltage power supplies maintain a fixed voltage, with the current varying according to the connected load.

Choosing the correct power supply ensures proper operation of the lighting system, as well as durability. This involves evaluating a few key factors that determine a consistent choice.

First, the voltage and current of the power supply must match those required by the chosen LEDs.
